Evan Leibovitch at ZDNet <a href="http://www.zdnet.com/enterprise/linux/opinion/0,5954,2260109,00.html">writes</a> a succinct article about Richard Stallman's petty antics to grab a share of the Linux fame by forcing people to refer to the Linux system as the GNU/Linux system. In my opinion, comrade Stallman needs to get a farging clue. I think the Open Source movement would have happened regardless of GNU (witness the BSD license). You can read Stallman's <a href="http://linux.codemeta.com/archives/gnhlug_1999a_archive/1949.html">retort</a> on a Linux mailing list that started a flame war.
