ZDNet has a nice <a href="http://www.zdnet.com/enterprise/linux/opinion/0,5954,2274501,00.html">story</a> on the "Open Source" trademark fiasco. It has never been properly registered since the "owners" disregarded a USPTO notice requesting more information.
